Our Organic Limited Edition Uji matcha holds a special place in our hearts because it is exclusively imported by Matchasome. In fact, it is the first time this beautiful single estate matcha has left Japan for the rest of the world to enjoy, as we are the first to import it. As it is produced by a small tea farmer in Uji, Kyoto, please note that there is a chance it may sell out until the next harvest season.

Enjoy a delicious cup of pure matcha (usucha) with 2-2.5g matcha powder with 70-80ml hot water (around 70°C) using this high quality matcha. Of course it tastes great as a matcha latte too.

Our ceremonial grade matcha is packed with healthy levels of amino acids (L-theanine), antioxidants (EGCG), vitamins, and minerals, and comes in a beautiful vibrant green color that extends to its taste.

Nestled in the heart of Kyoto Prefecture, Uji has been perfecting the art of tea since the 12th century, making it the oldest and most experienced tea region in Japan. Known for its foggy mornings, hilly terrain for excellent drainage, mineral-rich water, and expert shading techniques, Uji produces matcha that is vibrant, creamy, and rich in umami. Every sip reflects a legacy of craftsmanship and quality, earning it the reputation as the champagne of all matcha.

How To Prepare

Matcha Shot: Sift 1 tsp (2-2.5g) of matcha powder into a bowl. Pour 30-40 ml of warm water at 70ºC (158°F). Whisk in fast zip-zag motion for around 30 seconds until frothy and clump-free.

Usucha: To drink it pure as usucha, add 30-40ml more water to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.

Matcha Latte: Add 200-300ml of your favorite milk to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.
