Right of Withdrawal (Cancellation Policy)

 

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party named by you (other than the carrier) takes possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by emailing at support@matchasome.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement.

Returns for Food Products (Tea / Matcha)

Matcha teas are excluded from returns. Since proper storage (e.g., protection from high temperatures, moisture, or light) during the cancellation period cannot be guaranteed by the customer, these products may suffer damage due to improper storage and are therefore exempt from the right of cancellation.

If the packaging of perishable food items is damaged, these products are also completely excluded from returns. Matcha kits with damaged packaging can only be returned against a flat compensation fee of 5 EUR.

 

Other sealed products:
You may return food products other than matcha only if they are unopened, unused, and in their original sealed packaging.

Unsealed products:
The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed/opened after delivery.

Cancellation Before Shipment

You may cancel your order free of charge before it has been shipped. Orders are usually processed and shipped within 48 hours after receipt.

Refusal of Delivery

If your order has already been shipped, you may refuse to accept the delivery. The parcel will be returned to us.

Returns After Delivery

If you have already received the goods, you must return them to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your withdrawal. The products must be undamaged and returned in their original condition. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. 

You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods, unless otherwise agreed and/or goods delivered were faulty or incorrect. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling beyond what is necessary to examine the nature, characteristics, and functionality of the goods.

Matcha kits with damaged packaging can only be returned against a flat compensation fee of 5 EUR.

Refunds

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (if applicable), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed about your withdrawal.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.


Additional Notes:
The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons or if their seal has been removed after delivery (§ 312g (2) No. 3 BGB). This applies in particular to our organic food products.
