Matchasome x Viola Beuscher x Asphaltgold Hojicha Set

This beautiful hojicha set was created in collaboration with Viola Beuscher and Asphaltgold based in Frankfurt, combining Japanese tea culture with handmade ceramics. The set offers one cup in glossy pink and one cup in warm brown together with our 30g tin of finely ground organic hojicha powder.

The hojicha cups, exclusively designed for this collaboration and joint release, are made from grey stoneware clay and finished with a warm, glossy brown glaze and a bold, glossy pink glaze — inside and out. Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel and glazed by hand in Viola Beuscher’s Frankfurt studio.

Hojicha can be prepared just like matcha — whisked with water or topped with your favorite milk, and optionally sweetened with a touch of maple syrup.
