Our new organic Limited Edition Uji matcha holds a special place in our hearts because it is exclusively imported by Matchasome. In fact, it is the first time this beautiful single estate matcha from a small family-run farm has left Japan for the rest of the world to enjoy, as we are the first to import it.

We especially recommend this delicious Uji matcha to aficionados who like to drink matcha pure as usucha. You will enjoy its fine flavor with not the slightest traces of bitterness nor astringency.

Uji, Kyoto, Japan

Nestled in the heart of Kyoto Prefecture, Uji has been perfecting the art of tea since the 12th century, making it the oldest and most experienced tea region in Japan. Known for its foggy mornings, hilly terrain for excellent drainage, mineral-rich water, and expert shading techniques, Uji produces matcha that is vibrant, creamy, and rich in umami. Every sip reflects a legacy of craftsmanship and quality, earning it the reputation as the champagne of all matcha.

How To Prepare

Matcha Shot: Sift 1 tsp (2-2.5g) of matcha powder into a bowl. Pour 30-40 ml of warm water at 70ºC (158°F). Whisk in fast zip-zag motion for around 30 seconds until frothy and clump-free.

Usucha: To drink it pure as usucha, add 30-40ml more water to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.

Matcha Latte: Add 200-300ml of your favorite milk to the matcha shot. Enjoy hot or over ice.
